The Concept is intended to be simple and clean, the unique shape of floor plate with the high end tall create strong gesture and build an elegant building. The shading device along façade is became the main component of the design , colored glass fins staggered between floors with unique shape is mean to accommodated position of the building against solar direction.
Handan Crowne Plaza - China
The scheme represented my signature design idea on modern tower facade, clean, clear structural facade design with small gesture as focal point of the design as I called design effect. This particular design plays important role on creating the city image, therefore regardless the simplicity of the building form, I intended to create some cool effect as landmark value to this building, as in this scheme is the corner effect On the hotel facade (left corner) and half office block, predominantly solid with double exterior column and spandrel, the effect is the interlace vertical element at the corner, represent the idea of water curtain effect. On the other side, the pure glass curtain wall on half block of office, this is a mirror projection of solid facade from the adjacent block. The effect on this pure glass curtain is the top and bottom sparkling ripple effect made of 3 dimensional glass facade. This effect also represent the idea of water sparkling. Those effect will be more emphasised by lighting and can be strongly obvious at night view.
Amwaj Home - Bahrain
The interlace concept adopts the new residential typology which breaks away from standard housing. Amwaj home takes a more expansive and interconnected approach to living through communal space which integrated into its lush surrounding greenbelt. This green area stretching from one end to the other in all open space between the houses and connected with green platform and green bridges which leading to community space in the centre of the master plan. The green space/ platform functions as a social interaction and recreation area and also has a pleasant environment due to the effects of micro climate.
Sihe-Shanghai Polytechnics
Sihe polytechnic is located in west suburb of Shanghai, the site is covering 120,833 sq.m, comprising of campuses, laboratories, offices etc, with the mixture of student residential and sport facilities. the project masterplan was designed to be flexible and easy for further development as the number of student will increase every year. this college is meant to be as pilot project for international standard of technical college in the suburb part of Shanghai The master plan is driven by the practical layout of school building to create a efficient and effective system of school organizational. each building location was determined by function and retain to each other. and all of the building form is made to be courtyard system to create an interactive space that will be use as outdoor learning space and interaction with faculty. each courtyard connected by main landscape in the middle of the site
Yuyuan Mall - Shenyang
Revisit North and south Chinese Vernacular Yuyuan commercial park in Shanghai is one of the commercial and leisure icon in the city, because it’s so famous, it became one of the tourist landmark of china. Yuyuan group intend to repeat the success in Shenyang. since successful in shanghai the client tend to keep the southern china traditional building concept for this project as well. In order to give more value and distinction for this particular project ,we suggested to give some more articulation and characteristic on the overall design, thus we introduced the concept of ‘combination’ as we called it yin-yang concept.The facade design of this project was comprised of interaction between the Chinese vernacular language with Chinese contemporary and then as a contrast, we emphasized the historical monument and main accesses with pure modern-contemporary object. The design based on idea of Chinese commercial street in history, even so the building is actually a one big shopping mall, but we camouflaged the bulk appearance with the idea of street facade, not only to give variety but also to create a unique skyline. the middle park of the project is the historical ruins of Hangwang palace. Instead of rebuilt the ruins we suggested to keep the originality the ruins. A memorial of historical pieces can be done by many ways, we believe in the idea of preservation by space and time. the idea of glass square above the ruins with historical poem printed on the glass facade is the idea of the space and time itself. the square represent the container the past time. and people from the present can witness this time from present through this container.
